Katherine Museum

Three kilometres out on the road to Katherine Gorge, this volunteer-run museum covers the floods, WWII bombings and remote-living ingenuity that shaped the Katherine region. Outdoor displays, heritage gardens with resident wallabies and a vintage gift shop round out the visit. Closed during the wet season — call ahead.
